Backpacking food
After my backpacking trip I decided to learn how to make my own backpacking food. The Mountain House meals are good, however in my readings I have heard that it is so easy to make your own, and when it comes down to it…why not? I already have a good dehydrator so I raided the freezer for all of the old frozen vegetables that were getting freezer burned.
I now have a collection of Beans, Chicken, Corn, Peas, Ham and Peppers. I plan on trying these with a different combination of noodles/rice and spices. Hopefully I will figure out some decent meals that I can take on my upcoming trips that will not only be satisfying, but avoid breaking the bank at the same time.
